Project Lead The Way (PLTW) is a nonprofit that helps K-12 students and teachers explore STEM through hands-on, project-based learning. With programs in computer science, engineering, and more, PLTW gives students real-world skills while supporting teachers with professional development to bring STEM into their classrooms.

Sphero offers various funding opportunities, including grants, crowdfunding options, and federal programs, to help educators bring STEM and computer science tools into their classrooms.


AAE's National Grant Program
The Association of American Educators (AAE) offers classroom grants and teacher scholarships of up to $500 to support educators with classroom materials and professional development.


Jordan Fundamentals Grant
The Jordan Fundamentals Grant Program recognizes outstanding teaching and instructional creativity in public secondary schools serving economically disadvantaged students. The program awards grants averaging $10,000 to support projects that enhance academic outcomes, teacher-student relationships, school communities, and teacher development.
Funds for Teachers Grants
The Fund for Teachers gives preK-12 educators grants to create their own professional learning experiences, helping them grow as teachers and bring new ideas to their classrooms. These grants let teachers explore different cultures, skills, and teaching methods to make learning more engaging for their students.
21st Century CLC Grant
The 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) grant helps fund afterschool programs that give students extra learning opportunities outside of school hours. It focuses on high-poverty and low-performing schools, providing academic support, enrichment activities, and community involvement to help students succeed.


Albert Einstein Fellowship
The Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellowship (AEF) Program gives experienced K-12 STEM teachers the chance to work with federal agencies or Congress for 11 months, helping shape education policies and programs. Fellows get a monthly stipend of $8,200, plus travel and education benefits to support their work.
NEA Foundation
The NEA Foundation offers grants of up to $5,000 to support educators in professional development, equity-focused initiatives, and student learning projects. These include Learning & Leadership Grants for teacher training, Envision Equity Grants for culturally responsive education, and Student Success Grants for enhancing academic experiences.


McCarthey-Dressman Foundation
The McCarthey Dressman Education Foundation offers teacher development grants of up to $10,000 per year (maximum 2 years) to support small teams of teachers in developing and implementing innovative K-12 classroom instruction. These grants provide opportunities for educators to integrate fresh strategies that encourage critical inquiry and to observe their effects on students.


Gravely & Paige Grants
The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) offers up to $2,000 to support elementary and middle school teachers in implementing innovative STEM education projects. These grants are designed to enhance student engagement and hands-on STEM learning.
