What brings you here?
Right now, there is no website designed specifically for Arkansas elementary teachers who want to introduce computer science to their students. Yet, we know that early exposure to coding and computational thinking gives kids a major advantage—not just in middle and high school, but in their future careers. As technology continues to shape every industry, students who start learning problem-solving, logic, and digital skills in elementary school will be better prepared for whatever future path they choose.
The challenge?
Finding Arkansas-specific resources, learning standards, and support can be overwhelming. Many of you are passionate about bringing computer science into your classrooms but don’t have a central place to access the tools and guidance you need. That’s why this website was created—for Arkansas elementary teachers, by an educator who understands your needs. Here, you’ll find Arkansas Computer Science Learning Standards for K-5, so you can easily integrate grade-appropriate concepts into your lessons. This site also includes funding opportunities to help you secure grants for classroom technology, higher education resources if you want to deepen your computer science knowledge, and a library of helpful videos, lesson plan ideas, and coding activities designed specifically for elementary students. Whether you’re new to teaching computer science or looking for fresh ideas, this website is your go-to resource, because Arkansas teachers deserve support in preparing students for a tech-driven future.
